A month ago I bought a new gps outdoor unit. The cool thing is that now all the topographical maps from Switzerland are available on can be stored on the unit (1:25'000 - 1:50'000) .My opinion after having used it several times for hiking: It would be unwise to leave your traditional map at home, but after some hours, it is a useful tool to guide you.
